A brief description of the method(s) used to gather data about student commuting, including the timeframe for when the analysis was conducted and how a representative sample was reached, if applicable:
A transportation survey was conducted in April 2020 directed at all members of the WPI community. Among the questions asked in the survey was a question of how students commuted to campus. Response rate was approx. 10%, which we feel is representative of the campus student community.
