In 2017, WPI published its Greenhouse Gas Reduction Plan (see notes below for website) calling for a reduction of scopes 1 and 2 ghg by 2025. link is in data field below.
The institute complies with the statute of the state of Massachusetts preventing any vehicle from idling for more than 5 minutes. Also the institute became a smoke-free campus in 2015.

Our Scope 1 and 2 emissions are collected and reported to the state by a third party, Tighe and Bond. additionally WPIs Office of Sustainability calculates scopes 1 and 2 emissions on a fiscal year so as to compare to state report totals.
