A brief description of the open access policy, including the date adopted, any incentives or supports provided, and the repository(ies) used:

WPI has no open access policy for faculty or staff works. For students works (undergraduate and graduate), while there is no OA policy, studentss retain copyrights in their works as a condition of submitting their work for degree credit in the institutional repository. They agree that WPI can archive and publish their work, subject to limited embargoes and restrictions. The policy for graduate works (theses and dissertations) was adopted by the WPI faculty on 1/24/02; the policy for undergraduate works (IQPs and MQPs) was adopted by the WPI faculty on 2/20/07. The current repository of record is http://digitalcommons.wpi.edu. This repository will migrate to a new platform in fall 2020.
