Has the institution conducted a survey or other evaluation that allows for anonymous feedback to measure employee satisfaction and engagement during the previous three years?:
Yes

Percentage of employees (staff and faculty) assessed, directly or by representative sample (0-100):
100

A brief description of the institution’s methodology for evaluating employee satisfaction and engagement:
WPI participates in the Chronicle of Higher Education's Great Colleges to Work For survey, which asks employees to evaluate the work environment, pay, benefits, and other policies.

A brief description of the mechanism(s) by which the institution addresses issues raised by the evaluation (including examples from the previous three years):
The HR Advisory Group was formed as a direct result of the survey. The survey identified a number of areas where the university could be doing a better job at making WPI a greater place to work. The HR Advisory Group initially worked on prioritizing areas of need, and then on initiating projects that would help to make improvements in these areas. Some examples that resulted from this initiative include the Employee Mentoring Committee, Women's Leadership Group, Spot Award, Staff Trustee Award and a re-working of the performance appraisal process.
