A brief description of the sustainable compensation standards, guidelines, or policies; and/or collective bargaining agreements covering staff, faculty and/or employees of contractors:
All salaries administered at WPI are benchmarked against relevant compensation data from national and local organizations/institutions/employers, including EANE (Employers Association of the North East) and CUPA-HR (College and University Professional Association for Human Resources). A market adjustment and benchmark comparison is done annually to ensure competitive and appropriate for a position in this region and at WPI. We believe this approach results in fair and equitable wages but we do not have a formal sustainable compensation policy. There are 80 Facilities employees in the SEIU and 10 Campus police officers in the Campus Police Union.
