Products not on the approved list are not allowed to be purchased, or brought into our facility. Closets are checked throughout the year to ensure only approved products are stored/used there. Also, all purchases are checked by the area managers on a monthly basis to ensure no other products have been purchased. Laurier's distributor, Wood Wyant, is not allowed to substitute any products in the case of back orders. Only Green certified products are considered when moving forward with new products. Data source(s) and notes about the submission:
All cleaning products used are Green Seal or EcoLogo certified, except the acid toilet bowl cleaner. Cleaning expenditures include cleaning solutions and products only, not cleaning hardware and paraphernalia. Total expenditures on cleaning products including tools/paraphernalia for 2012 is $325826.34. This includes items such as brooms, cleaning cloths, cleaning dispensers etc. The attached cleaning supply inventory is a full list of all cleaners used by our product supplier, Wood Wyant. All products are either Ecologo or Green Seal certified, with the exception of the acid bowl cleaner which is not included on this list. There is no formal contract available specifying the use of these specific products, but this company was chosen to be the new supplier for Laurier based on the condition that they use environmentally friendly products.
