A brief description of the program, including examples of peer-to-peer outreach activities:
Facilities Manager trained custodial staff of 12 in Zero Waste, ongoing with new and existing employees they teach waste reduction, recycling, composting, zero waste events etc. These staff members are then empowered to share their knowledge with the rest of the employees at the college as the opportunities arise

Ability to understand green cleaning process and provide customer service and ability to convey that information to others
A brief description of the formal training that the employee educators receive to prepare them to conduct peer outreach:
Facilities Manager (LEED green associate trained) trained custodial staff of 12 in Zero Waste, ongoing with new and existing employees they teach waste reduction, recycling, composting, zero waste events etc. These staff members are then empowered to share their knowledge with the rest of the employees at the college as the opportunities arise, for example when a custodial member interacts with a faculty member in their office they can ask them if they want to keep their trash bin or use the one in the hall to reduce the automization of refuse activity. They can support employees who need assistance with solid waste vendors requirements and materials they accept.
A brief description of the financial and/or administrative support the institution provides to the program (e.g. annual budget and/or paid faculty/staff coordination):
Other duties as assigned from professional staff. Purchase of recycling compost and containers and signage to support the educational process.
