A brief description of the campus climate assessment(s) :
Since 2008 Westminster has conducted a survey assessing the diversity experiences of incoming freshman.
Since 2010 Westminster has conducted a survey with sophomores and juniors assessing diverse learning environments.
Westminster also is in the process of conducting a curriculum inventory, assessing diversity in the curriculum, and making improvements to the new W-Core curriculum.

A brief description of the student diversity and educational equity assessment(s):
From the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities accreditation report Westminster focuses on the core theme of diversity and global education (from our college wide learning goal). The institutions objectives in this area (which are assessed in the report), include:
· Increase the integration of diversity and international perspectives in the curriculum and co-curriculum
· Create a supportive campus environment for learning
· Increase student participation and satisfaction in events/activities with the diversity/international center
· Increase student satisfaction in the diversity and international center of students receiving help and support
· Increase percentage of entering first year students of color
· Increase percentage of entering first year international students
· Retain first year students of color and international students
· Maintain study abroad and international may term study experience opportunities
· Increase diversity and international affairs support staff
· Increase percentage of faculty and staff people of color and international
All students also take a diversity course as part of their liberal education core and that is assessed.

A brief description of the employee diversity and employment equity assessment(s):
The assessment of employee diversity is done with respect to employee equity, mainly through through compensation studies and hiring practices. The best practices handbook for hiring out-lines steps to increase faculty diversity, and last year Westminster did a faculty compensation and made equity adjustments as needed. Westminster is working on a similar staff compensation study this year.
