A brief description of how sustainability is included in new employee orientation (including how multiple dimensions of sustainability are addressed):
New employee on-boarding procedures, information and materials. Included in these is a video, listed in the HR Onboarding Program Overview

which all new employees are directed to view, on their first day of work. This video is about an hour long. It includes reference to University Sustainability goals, Department of Business & Financial Affairs (University Operations) goals and a slide and audio about Western’s sustainability actions, academics, and a slide and audio about the Office of Sustainability. In addition there are numerous slides and about 9 minutes of Audio and visual information about Sustainable Transportation options and support for employees.
There is also information about Equal Opportunity, and Environmental health and Safety.
These materials are offered to all new employees, and it is recommended or even required that all view them upon starting work.
