Western Technical College has a full time Director of Sustainability who helps to organize sustainability efforts across campus. The director of sustainability reports directly to the VP of Finance and Operations. In addition, there are 1.5 FTE assigned to the Director of Facilities. These employees manage our energy conservation, water conservation, and waste minimization efforts.

The Director of Sustainability is charged with coordinating sustainability efforts across the entire college, including advising on best practice and operations, embedding sustainability throughout the curriculum, working with student life, building partnerships and communicating our efforts throughout the community, and working with senior leaders and other staff to develop a comprehensive college-wide sustainability plan.
