A brief description of the institution’s efforts to support alternative fuel and power technology in its motorized fleet:

Western's fleet belongs to the State of Colorado. The State of Colorado recently launched the Greening Fleet Management program. Under this program, purchasing Alternative Fuel Vehicles will be the first option when replacing older inefficient vehicles wherever practicable as a result of Senate Bill 13-070. Western recently leased its first gasoline-electric hybrid and installed two electric vehicle charging stations to support alternative fuel and power technology. The charging stations are located outside of Taylor Hall, and are open to the public.
