Western partners with Gunnison County and City of Gunnison. Both have provided strategic support and mentorship consisting of waste management, recycling strategies, climate action planning, and sustainability leadership within the greater community.
Western also partners with Northern New Mexico College and Coldharbour Institute. Butch Clark supports the college in NM to have an industrial arts program. This involves sharing spaces, workshops, lectures.
Western partners with the University of Colorado Boulder in the Paul M. Rady School of Computer Science and the Outdoor Industry Master's program in the School of Business. This is an innovation program focused on use of recycled materials like plastic and metals.
