Does the institution have an ongoing program that offers incentives for academic staff in multiple disciplines or departments to develop new sustainability courses and/or incorporate sustainability into existing courses? :
Yes

A brief description of the incentive program(s):

The Office of Sponsored Programs and Grants develops and implements incentive programs to encourage supported grant activity in all departments across campus in coordination with Academic Affairs.

The Sustainability Action Committee (SAC) also provides incentives to develop and teach new sustainability courses. For example, in the spring 2021, a SAC member taught 'WHY CAN’T I RECYCLE THIS?' History, Policy, and Opportunity in Recycling for 1 credit.

A brief description of the incentives that academic staff who participate in the program(s) receive:

The Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) and Grants develops and implements incentive programs to encourage supported grant activity in all departments across campus in coordination with Academic Affairs. The OSP, in collaboration with Academic Affairs, offers a variety of incentives to encourage and support grant writing activity from faculty and staff across the University. Incentives are available to support activity during the pre-award stages that include agency targeted training, financial research support incentives, course release, and other concentrated opportunities.

SAC provided monetary incentives for the staff member who taught the recycling course.
