Course Inventory

A copy of the institution’s inventory of its sustainability course offerings and descriptions:
Do the figures reported above cover one, two, or three academic years?:
Two

A brief description of the methodology used to determine the total number of courses offered and to identify sustainability course offerings, including the definitions used and the process for reviewing and/or validating the course inventory :
I searched the entire Western catalog and counted the total number of classes we offer. I searched the catalog and modified the previous Western Colorado University sustainability courses spreadsheet to determine the total number of sustainability courses and courses with some sustainability content. I only counted the courses as a single entity and not based on how many times they were taught. Some courses are taught every other year, so this analysis takes into account a two year time frame. Graduate and undergraduate courses are included.

How were courses with multiple offerings or sections counted for the figures reported above?:
Each course was counted as a single course regardless of the number of offerings or sections

A brief description of how courses with multiple offerings or sections were counted (if different from the options outlined above):
Undergraduate courses counted 1x no matter how many sections were offered. For example, ROE 351 is offered 2x/year, but was only counted once. Graduate courses were counted for each offering. For example, MEM 620 & 625 have multiple sections with VERY different curriculum (e.g., Social License vs Sustainability Consulting and Leadership Development); hence, each section was counted.

Are the following course types included in the inventory? :

Internships No
Practicums Yes
Independent study Yes
Special topics No
Thesis / dissertation Yes

Physical education Yes
