There are several injury prevention programs provided by Safe Communities America that WKU utilizes and offers to employees. See the link for more information: https://www.wku.edu/safecommunities/
WKU is also been designated a StormReady University by the National Weather Service. The StormReady® designation for our campus is important in that it certifies that we have processes and procedures in place to identify potential severe weather, provide critical warning information to our students, faculty and staff, and also have building plans in place to provide shelter. The plan is evaluated annually by a committee to ensure all standards are still met. https://www.wku.edu/news/articles/index.php?view=article&articleid=2083
