A brief description of the institution’s main campus and other aspects of the institutional boundary used to complete this report:
The 229.73-acre Western Kentucky University main campus is located in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The campus includes 54 administrative, academic, and facilities buildings of various types and sizes, and 16 residence halls, along with a 7300-seat arena, 22,000-seat stadium, health and activities center, and 15 dining locations. This report includes the WKU main campus and all of the facilities, operations, services, and programs based on the main campus.

Which of the following features are present on campus and which are included within the institutional boundary?:
Present? Included?
Agricultural school Yes Yes
Medical school No No
Other professional school with labs or clinics (e.g. dental, nursing, pharmacy, public health, veterinary) Yes No
Museum Yes Yes
Satellite campus Yes No
Farm larger than 2 hectares or 5 acres Yes Yes
Agricultural experiment station larger than 2 hectares or 5 acres No No
Hospital No No

The rationale for excluding any features that are present from the institutional boundary:
This STARS submission, as well as past submissions includes information regarding main campus only, as the main campus data is accessible and can be verified as true and accurate. Three regional campuses are not operated under same responsible parties or under same policies and procedures as the main campus, so are excluded from this report. WKU's School of Nursing is not located on the University campus, but on the campus of the regional medical center, and therefore is also excluded from this report. The 206.98 acre main campus encompasses the majority of university activity, student attendance, and staff and faculty employment. The satellite campuses are significantly smaller in size and student attendee compared to the main campus location.
