Aramark Corp provides a sustainable food and beverage purchasing report available for download for every account. We pulled the report for our fiscal year of October 1, 2018- September 30, 2019 to meet the 12 month requirements as mentioned in the AASHE manual. This report will be uploaded here as well for verification.

A brief description of the institution’s sustainable food and beverage purchasing program:

Aramark recognizes AASHE standards in it's efforts to source sustainable food items. Aramark at WKU sources many third party certified products, such as cage free eggs and Fair Trade coffee. Additionally, Aramark WKU sources directly from local farmers and requests local sourcing through larger vendors. Under their new contract, beginning July 2017, sustainable food sourcing goals were established. We have purchased from local farmers such as ATP Greenhouses and several farmers through Piazza Produce.
