A brief description of how sustainability is included in new employee orientation:
New Environmental Service Attendants and Facilities Grounds crew hires each undergo a brief training to become familiar with what is and is not recyclable on campus, to properly execute these skills in their daily work routines on campus, as well as through the GameDay Recycling Challenge and other WKU athletic events. The new (and current) employees continue to learn more about recyclables on campus through peer-to-peer interaction as they come onto the job, and learn more about what they will encounter in sustainability at WKU. Resource Conservation also presents at 1-2 safety trainings a year to ensure ESA's and Grounds crew members are properly implementing their recycling knowledge.
