Yes
None
A brief description of the policies and/or guidelines to improve outdoor air quality and minimize air pollutant emissions from mobile sources:
WKU Facilities Management has a "no idle" policy for the Facilities fleet, and WKU Parking and Transportation has a "no idle" policy for university shuttles and busses.
None
Has the institution completed an inventory of significant air emissions from stationary sources on campus?:
Yes
None
A brief description of the methodology(ies) the institution used to complete its air emissions inventory:
The university utilizes nationally recognized AP 42 emission factors as well as the KY Division for Air Quality’s Emissions Inventory System database to calculate annual emissions from stationary sources.
None
Weight of the following categories of air emissions from stationary sources::
Weight of Emissions | |
Nitrogen oxides (NOx) | 6.86 Tons |
Sulfur oxides (SOx) | 0.12 Tons |
Carbon monoxide (CO) | 8.09 Tons |
Particulate matter (PM) | 0.81 Tons |
Ozone (O3) | --- |
