A brief description of the institution’s sustainability partnerships with the local community:
WKU has partnered with local community groups on a variety of initiatives that promote sustainability including BG Green (the Bowling Green citizens for sustainability group), Habitat for Humanity, Big Brothers and Sisters, the Interfaith Coalition on Earth Care, and others. Also, containers are placed to collect unused canned foods that are later donated to local non-profit organizations.
