There are programs in place to reduce waste, i.e the chemistry department using micro analytical methods as opposed to full scale, however most of the waste reduction methods are specific to departments.

We have had for many years a program in place to dispose of hazardous, non-regulated and universal waste, with pickups and disposals coordinated and performed by Environmental Health and Safety. Waste is collected, packaged and shipped to approved hazardous waste or recycling vendors at the EHS secured waste facility.
