WKU defines sustainability in the curriculum as follows:
Sustainability-focused courses explore a broad range of sustainability topics, or examine an issue in depth, often using “sustainability as a lens” to approach problem-solving and decision-making.
Sustainability-related courses include one or more components from this list as a discrete course component. To be counted, a course must contain at least one sustainability-related learning objective in its class syllabus.

A Sustainability Across the Curriculum faculty development retreat was held in June, 2010. The faculty in attendance completed the sustainability courses form (attached) and have turned in additional forms for courses they have created or revised for sustainability content as a result of the retreat. In addition, an audit was done of university courses through the course registration system, checking syllabi and course objectives.
