Does the institution use xeriscape landscaping techniques, including the selection of drought tolerant plants?:
A brief description of the program or practice:
We choose plants that will, after establishment, survive primarily on rain and intermittent, need-based irrigation. Areas that are currently on irrigation systems are closely monitored and the irrigation is only used when it is absolutely necessary, such as during periods of drought or heat stress.
