This is data pulled by Sodexo for purchases in the 2019 calendar year ( Jan-Dec). We excluded franchises, grab and go model retail dining, and concessions for simplified reporting. Alcohol was excluded from total and plant-based spreadsheet for simplified reporting. WVU has a contract with Coca-Cola, and branded sodas purchased by dining halls and catering was included in the total spend.

WVU contracts dining through Sodexo, which has a corporate commitment to cage-free eggs and a partnership with the World Wildlife Fund to incorporate 5 strategies to move towards 100% sustainable seafood. Seafood purchases for catering are made through Euclid Fish Company, which partners with Seafood Watch to rank its own offerings.
