A list of new construction and major renovation projects that indicates the green building code, policy/guideline, or rating system that applies to each building:
Advanced Engineering Research Building (95,000gsf)
Agricultural Sciences Building (207,000 gsf)
Law School Addition and Renovation (154,285 gsf)
The new construction and major renovation projects listed above follow USGBC guidelines and checklists as a metric and means for documenting
sustainable features, but forgo the process of submitting paperwork to USGBC for
formal approval and certification. WVU contractually required the architects from these construction projects to complete and submit a LEED checklist to us during the design phase and at the completion of construction documenting the probable LEED points achieved. The LEED checklist is used to document the sustainable features of the facility. The purpose of the LEED checklist is to demonstrate that a project is equivalent to a “certified” level on the USGBC rating system.
