WVU participates in the annual nationwide recycling competition called Recyclemania. Recycling results from this challenge have remained consistent from year to year, and we have participated since 2012.
A brief description of the measured positive impact(s) of the campaign:
The campus community is encouraged to participate in the 8-week recycling challenge by recycling as much as possible while working and living on campus. Recycling gauge posters at various locations on campus are updated weekly to show progress throughout the competition. It also gives us a chance to reiterate practical recycling how-to's to our entire campus population.
