In both buildings, only GREEN seal certified products are used in maintaining the spaces free of contaminants while securing a healthy environment for both occupants and users. The buildings also incorporate other green operations and maintenance practices, including the use of mini-bin recycling and waste collection policies that encourage recycling of recyclable materials and minimal use of plastic liner bags for waste disposal.

Data source(s) and notes about the submission:
WCU's waste diversion efforts (Mini Bin Program) have been extended to almost all academic and administrative buildings on campus, with plans to add all remaining buildings in the current fiscal year. In doing so, work assignments have been written/revised to reflect reduced services to private offices and reallocation of resources. Offices have been equipped with Mini Bins and occupants have received a brochure of pertinent information about their responsibilities as well as the custodian's. Employees have been trained to adhere to cleaning schedule and follow established guidelines outlined in the program putting their focus on recycling.
