Has the institution banned or eliminated the on-site sales and distribution of at least one type of single-use disposable plastic?:
Yes

A brief description of the single-use disposable plastics that have been banned or eliminated:

Wesleyan has not sold standard bottled water on campus since 2012 in any vending machine.

Heavy duty plastic bags were eliminated at all campus locations over the course of early/mid-2019 in advance of the state of Connecticut's $0.10 fee on plastic bags and the City of Middletown's 10/1/19 ban on plastic bags.

Bon Appetit has also ended the distribution of any disposable plastic cups, cutlery, or on-site-prepared containers, using compostable plastics instead, with the exception of items unavailable due to COVID-19-related supply chain issues.
