The Office of Equity and Inclusion serves students, faculty, administrators and staff concerning all issues of equity and opportunity as they relate to race, color, religion, national or ethnic origin, age, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, and gender expression.

The Office develops policies and procedures; and offers programming for the campus community regarding issues of diversity and equal opportunity / affirmative action. The Office of Equity & Inclusion also oversees the university-wide Equity Task Force, ADA Committee and multiple Title IX Committees.

The Office for Equity & Inclusion provides leadership and guidance to address systemic inequities for all members of the Wesleyan community. Over 80% of all faculty and staff have participated in at least one training related to Title VII and Title IX on campus. Additionally, learning opportunities come in various shapes and sizes.

Individual offices and departments formally and informally provide relevant professional development on diversity issues. The Office of Equity & Inclusion coordinates Wesleyan's Martin Luther King Planning Committee to implement events that celebrate the life of Dr. King and address systemic issues facing people of color at Wesleyan and beyond.

The Social Justice Leadership Conference (SJLC) and other student initiatives provide space for students, student groups, community members, alumni, faculty, and staff to discuss social justice and to learn and refine leadership skills.
