Total energy consumption, performance year:
151,915 MMBtu

Clean and renewable electricity (report kilowatt-hours):
kWh MMBtu
Imported electricity from certified/verified clean and renewable sources (i.e., bundled green power purchases) 4,676,940 Kilowatt-hours 15,957.72 MMBtu
Electricity from on-site, clean and renewable sources (rights retained/retired) 0 Kilowatt-hours 0 MMBtu

A brief description of the certified/verified sources of clean and renewable electricity:

Wentworth has a green power contract that includes the rights to Green-e certified RECs. Wentworth is also a participant in the EPA Green Power Partnership.

A brief description of the on-site renewable electricity generating facilities/devices:

Wentworth has a solar PV array on the new CEIS building which produces 22,000 kWh of electricity per year. The credits from this system are sold through the SMART program (thus they are NOT counted as institutionally-owned clean energy).

Clean and renewable thermal energy (report MMBtu):
MMBtu
Clean and renewable stationary fuels used on-site to generate thermal energy 0 MMBtu
Imported steam, hot water, and/or chilled water from certified/verified clean and renewable sources 0 MMBtu

A brief description of the clean and renewable stationary fuels:

While not fueled by biomass, Wentworth does operate two gas-fired combined heat and power systems on campus to improve overall energy efficiency by both producing electricity on-site and using the residual thermal energy to assist with steam heating of buildings.

A brief description of the certified/verified sources of clean and renewable thermal energy:
---

Unbundled renewable energy products (report kWh):
kWh MMBtu
Purchased RECs, GOs, I-RECs or equivalent unbundled renewable energy products certified by a third party 0 Kilowatt-hours 0 MMBtu

A brief description of the unbundled renewable energy products:
---

Total clean and renewable energy generated or purchased:
15,957.72 MMBtu

Percentage of total energy consumption from clean and renewable sources:
10.50

Geothermal 0
Hydro 6.70
Natural gas 48.90
Nuclear 29.80
Solar photovoltaic 1.10
Wind 3.40
Other (please specify and explain below) 1.50

A brief description of other sources of electricity not specified above:

1.2% Oil; 0.2% other fossil, 0.1% other unknown

Energy used for heating buildings, by source::
Percentage of total energy used to heat buildings (0-100)
Biomass 0
Coal 0
Electricity 0
Fuel oil 0
Geothermal 0
Natural gas 100
Other (please specify and explain below) 0

A brief description of other sources of building heating not specified above:

Natural gas is used either directly in stand-alone buildings, or to generate steam for the campus district heating system and combined heat & power (CHP) plant which serve the main block of academic buildings. The 610 Huntington residence hall also has a CHP system.
