Wentworth has a solar PV array on the new CEIS building which produces 22,000 kWh of electricity per year. The credits from this system are sold through the SMART program.

Natural gas is used either directly in stand-alone buildings, or to generate steam for the campus district heating system and combined heat & power (CHP) plant which serve the main block of academic buildings. The 610 Huntington residence hall also has a CHP system.
