A brief description of how the institution ensures compliance with green building design and construction guidelines and policies:
The college has established a process for implementing green building design whereby if certain stated green building standards cannot be met for a specific building project, exceptions must be justified in writing to the Sustainability Committee. For all major renovations the accepted minimum certification is LEED Gold. A set of procedures for each phase of building projects has also been created to aid the project team to ensure that proper sustainability standards are met or exceeded.
