A brief description of the policies and/or guidelines to improve outdoor air quality and minimize air pollutant emissions from mobile sources:
We have largely implemented the 1998 landscape master plan which gives premise to pedestrian over the automobile. We also enforce an anti-idling policy for vehicles on campus as according to Massachusetts state law. We also have a free bike share and encourage the members of our community to bike or walk whenever possible.
Part 2
Yes
Weight of the following categories of air emissions from stationary sources::
Weight of Emissions | |
Nitrogen oxides (NOx) | 0.06 Tons |
Sulfur oxides (SOx) | 0 Tons |
Carbon monoxide (CO) | 0 Tons |
Particulate matter (PM) | 0 Tons |
Ozone (O3) | 0 Tons |
Lead (Pb) | 0 Tons |
Hazardous air pollutants (HAPs) | 0 Tons |
Ozone-depleting compounds (ODCs) | 0 Tons |
Other standard categories of air emissions identified in permits and/or regulations | 0.51 Tons |

A brief description of the methodology(ies) the institution used to complete its air emissions inventory:
We monitor air pollutants as part of our GHG emissions inventory which includes stationary sources such as our power plant (CHP) and emergency generators. A significant amount of work has also occurred on our emergency generators to reduce emissions and/or make sure the stack locations and heights limits emissions entering buildings. Other air pollutants are checked periodically in according with Massachusetts DEP guidelines.
