Wells on Wheels

A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome :

In an effort to reduce the purchase of bottled water for large outdoor events three "Well on Wheels" were fabricated to provide chilled filtered water. Basically these are coolers on stands which contain stainless steel cooling coils and a high quality water filter and dual taps. Once the cooler is filled with ice and hooked up to a potable water supply it can provide chilled filtered water for several days.

A brief description of any positive measurable outcomes associated with the innovation (if not reported above):

The Well on Wheels has eliminated the institutional purchases of bottled water for large outdoor events, for outdoor athletic events and for the college's week long First Year Orientation program.
