The Subcommittee on Proxy Voting (SPV), a subcommittee of the Trustee's Investment Committee, is responsible for the proxy voting policy of Wellesley College and votes on all proxy proposals that are not covered by the policy. In practice, that means that the SPV votes on the vast majority of social and environmental issues.

Membership to this committee rotates annually and includes six trustees (including the chair and vice chair of the board and the chair of the Investment Committee), two faculty members, and two students.
The Subcommittee is staffed by the Chief Investment Officer and the Director of Investment Operations.
