A brief description of programs, policies, infrastructure investments, outreach efforts, and/or other factors that contribute to the diversion rate for construction and demolition waste:
In our renovation of Alumnae Hall, which is a LEED Gold certified building, construction and demolition efforts diverted over 95% of debris from the landfill/incinerator and into recycling. The Observatory, which is also up for LEED certification, has made extensive efforts to recycling construction and demolition waste as well, diverting about 86% of this waste.
