Tier2-1: Gender Neutral Housing
|0.25 / 0.25||
Does the institution offer housing options to accomodate the special needs of transgender and transitioning students (either as a matter of policy or as standard practice)?:
A brief description of the program, policy, or practice:
Since Wellesley College is a single sex institution, it does not provide special housing options to those who identify as other genders. However, if a student who is transitioning requests a single room, the housing office will accommodate that request.
The Wellesley College Housing Office has designated 22 bathrooms in the residence halls as "All Gender" bathrooms that provide more privacy for those who may be transitioning or identify as male.
