A brief description of the activities and substantive accomplishments of the institution-wide coordinating body or officer during the previous three years:

The WCC Sustainability Council works closely with, and includes members of the Facilities department, faculty, library, purchasing, and marketing.. All of the landscape, energy and recycling operations are informed by the campus Climate Action and Sustainability Plan. This includes changing all parking lot lights to LEDs and shutting them off for periods of time at night, converting to LED lighting in several areas around campus, obtaining Tree Campus USA designation. Other efforts include running commuter challenge campaigns, initiating a SEED library, and holding a 1/2 day long Earth Day event.
