WCC maintains an energy SCADA system where most all major buildings has metering for electric, gas, and water. All electric is continuously recorded for consumption amounts. Natural gas is also recorded and stored. Energy measurements are recorded at 15 of the 22 building on a continuous basis. All energy recordings are uploaded into a dedicated server on a nightly schedule and then made available to a reporting platform in addition to a website that displays consumption by building. Energy data is used to benchmark the results of energy conservation measures and to show the value of the investment and reduction of the greenhouse gases. This information is helping to guide the future investments in future energy conservation measures. WCC also utilizes BAS programs to controls HVAC systems for maximum building energy efficiency.
