The Sustainability Operations Leadership Council was tasked with developing our Strategic Plan for Sustainable Operations. The members of the group represent departments throughout the University, many of whom are still directly involved in the implementation of the plan itself.

A brief description of the sustainability office:
The Office of Sustainability serves as a clearing house for innovative ideas, and a guiding force for sustainability-related initiatives on campus. The Office currently consists of two members, who serve in coordinating campus and community outreach programs, sustainability awareness initiatives, and special projects as directed by the Associate Vice Chancellor for Operations.

The Sustainability Coordinator works to:
-Connect students with the administration through partnership on projects and enhanced communication regarding university priorities
-Direct office programs, like the sustainable labs initiative
-Coordinate communications with the campus community through social media and email to serve as a clearinghouse for sustainability at WUSTL
-Foster a community of sustainability-minded student groups through the Student Green Council and increase communication between these student groups
