A brief description of programs, policies, infrastructure investments, outreach efforts, and/or other factors that contributed to the diversion rate:
WUSTL operates numerous programs for recycling, reuse, and donation. The Office of Sustainability and Environmental Health and Safety are supported by Facilities Planning and Management, Residential Life, Dining Services, and numerous other departments and student groups who are heavily involved in a growing infrastructure aimed at reducing waste and reusing, recycling, or otherwise diverting goods wherever possible. A high-level overview of our programs can be found at http://www.wustl.edu/initiatives/sustain/recycling.html.
