A brief description of any internal sustainability professional development and training opportunities that the institution makes available to non-academic staff:

1. Tailored sustainability best practices and training opportunities are available on an "on-call" basis for all offices. Coordination goes through the Director of Sustainability and Energy Specialist on an individual request basis throughout the year. For example, the Director of Sustainability and Energy Specialist did a sustainability training/presentation to the President's Council in 2020, and all of Communications in 2020 and Student Affairs in 2021. They also provided sustainability training to the Office Professionals Network, which is an organized group of our administrative professionals across campus. Much of this focus was on sustainable events, catering, recycling, and composting. However, we also provided documents for how the OPN group could make each of their offices more sustainable.
2. Winter and Fall Academy sessions for non-academic staff, this is usually done every year, but it was not done in 2020/2021.
3. Wellness program token offered to all staff and faculty each year - points for participating in an energy education challenge sponsored by W&L Energy Education (https://my.wlu.edu/energy-education-program/low-wattage-wisdom/take-the-energy-challenge-earn-a-wellness-token).
