--W&L advocated for the creation of a local bus system called the Maury Express in 2011.
--W&L provided a member for Lexington Go Green, a community committee from 2008-2010. This committee advised the Lexington city manager about local environmental policy.
--W&L is a member of Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education and signatory of Talloires Declaration and President’s Climate Commitment: http://www.wlu.edu/x18427.xml
