A brief description of the student group:
The Student Environmental Action League (SEAL) "aims to increase environmental awareness among students, promote campus sustainability, and inform students about environmental service opportunities. In addition, we give students opportunities to participate actively in improving the environment, both globally and locally." According to faculty advisor Jim Warren, "The group is funded by the Student Executive Committee (they fund student organizations), and they have monthly meetings. The officers meet every two weeks. They have a full agenda of activities each year, and they participate in the activities of the University Sustainability Committee, too. They participated in the 10/10/10 work day with 350.org, for instance, and they have an annual sale of CFL lightbulbs.”
