A brief description of how sustainability is included prominently in new student orientation:
The chair of the University Sustainability Committee provides orientation about sustainability for Residential Advisers prior to orientation for first-year students. The Environmental Management Coordinator has a table set up during matriculation and also sends out sustainability information to the first-years during the summer prior to orientation. Finally, there are two options for pre-orientation trips related to sustainability, Volunteer Ventures and Appalachian Adventure.
