In 2009 we contacted an external consulting group to conduct a “Diversity and Inclusion Climate Assessment.” The assessment was based on the surveys of 581 constituents, including 389 students, 52 faculty, 87 staff, and 41 alumni.

A brief description of how the results of the assessment(s) are used in shaping policy, programs, and initiatives:
The results were utilized to better implement our diversity and inclusion efforts on campus. The data allowed us to identify what the motivations and needs of our campus body were, hence better serve them. The biggest finding, was that self-identifying US students of color and race come to WC because of our diversity, while Caucasian do not.
