C&D waste diversion is collected from smaller in-house construction projects, as well as large LEED-certified construction projects. During the bidding process for projects on campus, the university requests of all of vendors and contractors to adhere to our waste reduction and recycling policies throughout their projects, ensuring that the maximum amount of waste is diverted from the landfill or otherwise recycled.
