The Sustainability Ambassadors program is designed to provide student volunteers with the information and resources necessary to act as sustainability ambassadors for campus. Sustainability Ambassadors are required to complete a task list, which includes developing and participating in sustainability-related outreach, volunteering in the campus garden, and completing a sustainability behavior assessment.
Prior to spring 2015, the program was known as EcoReps.

Student educators are required to articulate their interest in participating in the program. In 2012 and 2013 a written application was required.

Every sorority and fraternity on campus is eligible to nominate a Greeks Go Green representative to serve on a representative council. Representatives make presentations at chapter meetings, host film screenings, and invite members to activities like the WFU Earth Day Fair and speaker series. Every sorority on campus has a representative or team of representatives. The number of fraternities with representatives varies from year to year.

Chapter representatives serve in a volunteer capacity -- some organizations have multiple representatives and all have at least one. The representatives are approved by their executive boards so that they have the buy-in and support of organizational leadership.

Two Office of Sustainability interns serve as the network facilitators and trainers. The interns coordinate weekly meetings with the Greeks Go Green representatives and present on various sustainability-related topics.

In spring 2015, the Program Coordinator worked with an undergraduate course and graduate course to develop sustainability outreach materials with ten student groups. After providing in-class presentations about sustainability education and outreach development, the Program Coordinator met with groups individually to advise students on the projects. All ten groups completed tabling outreach at the annual WFU Earth Day Fair in April. Five of the groups also tabled earlier in the semester to refine their outreach protocols.
