The methodology was two-fold: 1) faculty were asked to self-identify their courses and provide descriptions; 2) staff compared the list of respondents and courses to both the environmental program curriculum and the courses that have been generated from the sustainability-across-the-curriculum workshop in order to complete the list.

The number of "departments" includes interdisciplinary and other programs that offer courses outside of departments.
Internships and independent studies were not included with a few exceptions in areas of study that rely on practica for professional training. Some departments refer to practica as internships.
