A brief description of programs, policies, infrastructure investments, outreach efforts, and/or other factors that contribute to the diversion rate for construction and demolition waste:
C&D waste diversion is collected from in-house construction projects, as well as large LEED-certified construction projects. During the bidding process for projects on campus, we ask all of our vendors and contractors to adhere to our waste reduction and recycling policies throughout their projects, ensuring that the maximum amount of items are diverted from the landfill or otherwise recycled.
